Lewin Terrace takes matcha beyond the mug with [Oh! Matcha Dessert Buffet]

Following the highly popular Ichigo Delight Strawberry Buffet, Lewin Terrace introduces another cult favourite dessert choice, Matcha. Going at just $38++ per pax, diners can enjoy unlimited servings of premium matcha desserts that are reimagined into different shapes and forms.

Work through a variation of matcha intensities starting with the lighter matcha jelly and the matcha chiffon. The jelly was light and refreshing with matcha liquid encapsulated within to give that unexpected burst of flavour. The chiffon tantalises with its airy and fragrant nature. Move on to the matcha swiss roll which possess a similar lightness to that of the chiffon cake but boasts a stronger intensity. Despite it being a classic combination,  I personally feel that the adzuki beans were a tad too sweet and could have been removed from the equation. Skip the macarons and go straight for the matcha tiramisu. It works miracles in satisfying those matcha cravings. Rich cream custard is layered with thin layers of matcha cake. It will be a struggle resisting to inhale the entire bowl in one seating.

Halfway through your journey, "cleanse" your palate with the Warabi Mochi and Smooth Pudding. Mochi, which in itself is extremely smooth, disintegrates at the slightest pressure of the teeth.  This is best enjoy enrobed in finely grated peanut powder.

Matcha Ice Cream
Finally, complete your journey with the homemade ice cream. The chef has achieved the golden ratio of bitter uji matcha powder to sweet anglaise. This one stole my heart and I am convinced that this item alone is the best representation of the matcha feast.

Lewin Terrace might just be the best place to satisfy your matcha cravings with consistent top-notch pastry skills displayed throughout the various desserts. Matcha lovers, get on it.
