Located in the heart of Singapore's Central Business District at Asia Tower, Seasonal Tastes at Westin Hotel overlooks the best of Singapore's sights - the Marina Bay Sands, Merlion and the likes. Known to offer a premium buffet spread at a reasonable price, guest chef, James Marshall of W Taipei is here with flavours close to his heart.
Expect to find American classics such as Mini Boston Lobster in Brioche, Brown Sugar Jack Daniels Baby Back Pork Ribs and Fresh Mexican Chorizo Enchilada. For a buffet's standard, the Pork Ribs were unexpectedly tender. Though not till the extent of the fall of the bone, that would be tantamount to splitting hairs, all in all, it was sufficiently easy to manipulate. The sauce was not overwhelming sweet and did not cloud the natural juiciness from the pork. The Baked Enchilada had pork chorizo, blackened shrimp and was baked like a Lasagne. Although this had no distinct differentiating factors from a regular lasagne, I can fully comprehend the comfort it would provide on a chilly night.
