Park Bench Deli: X'mas 2016 Festive Meats

Christmas eats takes on new fangled shapes this year at Park Bench Deli! Yes, we're talking about sandwiches and there's no one we trust more than PBD to deliver top notch renditions that won't cost you and arm and a leg.

Classic roasts are packed into big boy sandwiches with 2 new festive sandwiches that will be available for a limited time only.

First up, the Hot Butter Ball ($16) is a take on the classic Thanksgiving staple with slow-cooked turkey dressed up with a drizzle of housemade brown butter (imagine that...) and truffle gravy. Lashings of cranberry fruit preserve stuffed between warm bread, toasted just to the right degree of doneness to ensure moist crumb encircled by toasted sides. A true epitome of Christmas in its humblest form.

Next, the Porchetta Sandwich ($16) sits on the fence between underwhelming and decadent at some corners. In true Italian fashion (i.e slow), the crispy pork belly takes a good 24-hours to fashion itself into the dreamy tall, tan beauty that you find sandwiched between onion bread. Fresh argula attempts to steal the crunch-limelight from the crackling but works to balance out the lardaceous dealing at the end. Roasted garlic sriracha mayo (which I screamed for more) purposes as the glue in this somewhat dry concoction.

In fact, a better way to enjoy the sublime porchetta is on its own, the prized possession  - porchetta will be on sale at $80 for 1.7kg with a minimum order of 3 days!

But if you're in the mood for setting up something that'll stick to your ribs in the comforts of your home, Park Bench Deli has compiled some festive provisions that would be of use! Bottled up Brown Butter and Truffle Gravy ($10 for 600ml), Cranberry sauce made from scratch and a White Chocolate and Cranberry oatmeal bar (165g for $8) to usher the feast into sweet finalment.

Note that sammiches are available over the counter as well as online at http://order.parkbenchdeli.com/
